Changes to the Appointment Booking System
We appreciate the appointment booking system has not been ideal, especially with the unprecedented demand that GP practices have been experiencing. We are aware of our patient demographics and try to consider patients of all ages, giving fair access to all.
We have been reviewing our appointment system since the easing of Covid restrictions and will be trialling a new appointment booking system from the 9th May 2022.
We will be moving from all bookable on the day appointments for GP’s to a mixture of on the day, 2 and 7 days bookable in advance. Patients will be able to choose, at the time of booking, whether they would like the appointment to via telephone or face to face. Appointments are bookable by calling the practice at 8am or appointments will be bookable online for patients that prefer this method. Online bookable appointments are released daily at 6pm.
Our Urgent Care Team will still be dealing with acute medical needs and e-consultations, details of which can be found using the links below.
Error With Website Submitted Prescription Request
Unfortunately, from the 12th April until 26th April there was an error on our website which meant all prescription request submitted via the website form were not received by the practice. If you have submitted a form in the last 2 weeks, please resubmit via Repeat Prescription link or call the prescription team between 10am-1pm & 2pm-4pm Monday to Friday.

Changes to Ordering Prescriptions
From the 1st of April we will no longer be accepting paper prescription request or emailed prescription requests to our FGCCG.email@example.com mailbox. Please use the NHS app, Repeat Prescription form or phone line as detailed below.
The Prescription team phone lines will be open from 10am-1pm & 2pm-4pm Monday to Friday.
Please use online access to order repeat prescriptions. If you do not have online access to your medical records you can register via the NHS App or go to Online Access for more information.

Urgent Treatment Centre
Thinking of attending the emergency department at QA Hospital or the Urgent Treatment Centre at St Mary’s Community Health Campus for an urgent, but non-emergency, need?
Please remember that there is an urgent treatment centre (UTC) near you at Gosport War Memorial Hospital/Petersfield Community Hospital where you may be seen much faster.
Contact 111 on-line (111 Online Website ), or phone 111 to be directed to the most appropriate place for your need – and to get an allocated appointment slot so you can be seen at the right place, first time by the most appropriate healthcare professional.
The UTC does accept walk-in patients for people unable to use 111, but you may need to wait longer or may be directed to another care facility if clinically appropriate.
Through winter please help the NHS to ensure our emergency department is kept free for those patients in need of emergency or life-saving care.

The omicron variant is more transmissible, and patients may come to the surgery when they are contagious.

Please be patient – our phone lines are very busy, especially between 8am and 11am.

Please help the receptionist by giving them as much information as possible and answer any questions they may have. This will help us prioritise calls and have the right Clinician call you back.
