The practice has registered with the CQC and from April 2013 representatives of that body will visit the practice to ensure that important standards of quality and safety are being met. The CQC also handles complaints from people (or their representatives) whose rights are restricted under the Mental Health Act. about the way staff have used their powers under the Act.
Even though they cannot look into complaints about health care or social care services, they would like to hear from you if you were not happy about the care you received. This is because they can use the information when looking at individual services to make sure that the practice is meeting important standards of quality and safety. If not, they can use legal powers to make the practice improve their services for the benefit of people using the service now and in the future.
