Saturday 1st June is parkrun GP pledge day!
More than 1000 GPs and practice staff across the UK will be heading down to their local parkrun events to celebrate the 1 year anniversary of the parkrun practice initiative, and help promote the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.
Inactivity is a leading cause of death and premature illness in the UK. For many chronic conditions, a change in lifestyle can address the root cause of the problem and have a lasting impact. Regular exercise can help prevent, treat or improve common conditions such as anxiety, depression, diabetes, cancer, heart disease and high blood pressure.
Join us at Lee-on-the-Solent Parkrun at 9:00am on Saturday 1st June to walk, jog or run 5k along the seafront. The event is open to all and is FREE!
The run starts on the seafront adjacent to the amusements arcade, first time runners briefing begins at 8:45.
